    Ta 60 or Te60

    I am going to upgrade my turbo but would like to have some opinions whether to get a te 60 or a ta 60. I really do not care whether i stay stock appearing or not. I have a 3300 stall converter and the stock turbo just aint cutting it. i have 36# injectors for now. and am ready to move up...

    well problem fixed. i see why everyone is anti the pitbull chips. Talked to turbolou and had an old chip set for stock injectors. slapped it in and knock is gone completely. on to the next step now!

    well checked the static pressure and it was at 43# everyone tells me the pitbull chip is no good so i think im gonna get a turbotweak.

    well ive been having a problem with knock that is giving me a lot of trouble, i need to figure that out and would definitely want to power tune it. idle has been crappy think i need a chip with open loop idle(turbo tweak) im running the pitbull right now. where is Neal Stewerd located?

    does anyone know of any good mechanics in southern california to help tune my gn. the only people i know is grant burris from the tune up shop and lou but am not sure if he is still working on gn's. any recommendations would be great.

    well checked the fuel pressure during a test run. it got up to 52 # while at 11 pounds of boost. still was knocking so didn't really want to romp on it all the way.

    haven't had much time to work on the gn but just got a chance to check the fuel pressure at idle, with a walbro 340 and a bosch 237 it is around 36 to 38 #. when i raise the rpms with no load on it it seems to drop a couple of pounds. Not sure what the pressure should be at idle with this...

    well found a pin size whole in my fuel line that would leak if i tweaked with it. replaced it today and its still pinging the same. gonna check my fuel filter and pressure tomorrow.

    ya it never used to ping, the motor only has about 5000 miles on it and it started not to long ago, im running the pitbull chip and haven't had any problems in the past. ive heard good things and bad things about the chip so im not to sure.

    i thought that it might have been the gas so a ran it down and put a fresh tank of 91 (highest octane at the pumps in ca) and it still pinged, maybe ill try to find some 100 octane and try that out. ill definitely check the regulator and the fuel filter. thanks
