WELL it's over. I'm pulling out the BBB/TH400 tonight. I'll be buiding a large box in my shop and putting the GN into it. Along with all of the Regal/GN stuff and of course some rat posion for the critters enjoyment.
I'm going to build a Grand Camino out of my parts, possibly with a LS motor...
roller project
Well it looks like this car is going into storage this weekend. I'll be on the lookout for for an El Camino body tub. Will be building a Grand Camino out of it. Will be buick powered, AOD, Black out package and so forth. I'd trade the GN/Regal body tub (superstructure & rolling...
Some of you all may have been following my GN build over on the V8Buick site and here on the V8 forum. But the time has come to part with this car and make my GS all nice again. OK, this was a fun build. BUT, I have no time to properly finish out the car. The vehicle is a 1982 Turbo Regal (2100...
Tune really seems to have fixed the car. Timing had slipped to 0-1* instead of 8-12* (reg 455 v. Stage 1). I reset at 9*, replaced the cap & rotor, and replaced the thermosat. Car is much easier to start, and pulls hard. Gonna add fresh gas and see where we are!
With a proper sized turbo & about 8-9 lbs of boost, you would be in the neighborhood of 800 ft lbs & 750 HP. Lots of custom parts to move the power to the pavement. I would forsee lots of broken driveline parts!
Short list
455 block, .038 over, hardblocked, custom turbo pistons

The 4.10's are a success! Car loves the new torque multiplication. Now I just need a good tune. Right now I have a miss at low RPM, but have not changed out the cap & rotor (tonight). Also the timing is set at 4*, and I will be bumping it up to 8* and adding 5 gal of UL Premium to the tank...
I was able to pull down the 4.10 rear end last night. Looks very clean inside and found evidence that someone had changed out the fluid at some point. Wear seems to be minimual, bearings look great (no gunk or burning).
So I just printed off all of the torque specs, talked to my driveline...
regarding the turbo
Notacarlo - the project took a hard right along the way. Had to go "Old Skool" and run "just" a STAGE 1 BBB. Gues I live with 500 ft lbs of torque!
Quick update
8/1/11
Well I figured out the lazy shifting problem. Was a bad vac. adv. can (bent) that did not function due to the guts not moving correctly. So I switched to a Red Stripe small can, that made the trans go 1-2-3 in about 200 feet.
So I switched that out to a "big style"...
Almost there
Well I was able to track down the shifting issue last night. THe original vac. adv. canister was bent and not functioning properly. This cause the valve body to hold back on the fluid that should have filled the canister.
So first I tried a small red stripe canister, and the...
