i have 87 gn motor to convert my 85 turbo t to 87 drivetrain will my 85 tranny work with the 87 motor

can someone tell me my trunk don't have a trunk lock did my year come like that or did the person i bought it from shave it or did mines comes with the power pop trunk my year is a 1985 buick t-type thanks.
