Drove the car for about 10 miles today and it was progressively gettijg worse. WHen I got home I checked the ecu and it was burning hot. I could have fried an egg on it. I am not over exaggerating. .

Yeah its possible the chip is bad.

Swapped ecus. No difference.

Ok thanks. I am headed over to nick's in just a little bit. Hopefully we make some progress. And it gets at least 115 degrees on the outside. I held my digital thermometer in it for like 10 seconds and it quickly maxed it out. My guess is that it was somewhere around 120-125 after 10 minutes...

in the first and last pic you can see that one area in the middle that looks melted or distorted.

I think I narrowed down my problems to my ecu It was modified by Bob for low-z injectors a little while back. The car never really ran correctly afterwards so I think my ecu has been bad the entire time maybe? The ecu gets extremely hot after just 10 minutes of running so something is wrong...

Well I just pulled the ecu out to check for anything fishy. The ecu was really hot after only a few minutes of running I tried getting an accurate temp and it maxed out my digital thermometer. I am going to assume this is not normal??? Nick has a spare so I will take it to him and see if...

Ok well I know nick has the caspers tool. Maybe i will see about just bringing it to him one of these days and verifying that it is correctly adjusted. I need to bring it to him to test fp while driving anyways Do the cam sensors get out of adjustment frequently on these cars?

had the ign module tested today to try and do some more elimination. It tested good. this car is weird with cam sensor plugged in it idle and drives extremely lean unplug it and its rich sometimes and lean at others I am going to check plugs next, even though they are new then i guess...
