    27 years... and still missing

1G4GJ1173HP457641 Sad how this forum has grown over the years. Every now and then I look for information concerning my missing 1987 GN. The car was stolen, and recovered on Long Island in the spring of 1988. The odometer reflected about 13K miles. The police officer who found the car advised me...

Not in years. Don't want to keep paying their fees. I do look on ebay often though hoping the car might show up one day.

    Still looking for a miricle

Help!! I posted something here about 9 or 10 years ago. Thought I'd try it again for what it's worth. I'm looking for a particular 1987 GN loaded (with t-tops). The VIN is: 1G4GJ1173HP457641. This was my car which I bought brand new on Long Island, New York, and then a year later it was...

Carfax request, had strange results four years ago.

Thank you sir. Received, and read. Nothing new since 1993. Still looking for the car, and wont give up either! Makes me wonder if DMV keeps records of vin numbers slated for destruction (when cars get crushed).

Carfax request, had strange results four years ago.

Hello, I am still looking for information concerning my 1987 GN. It's been missing since 1988! It was recovered in 1988 with 13K, carfax ran in 2001 (thank god for the web) showed a salvage title issued in NY back in 1993, with 29K. So I know it lived after the recovery, just where I don't...

Please Help! Still Looking For Information.

I will keep everyone posted. I will also keep bringing this "TTT" every so often, so someone might (by chance) see it. You never know. What a story this would be, if I found my car after 14 years! Here's the VIN one more time. 1G4GJ1173HP457641. Thanks again, Paul. :)

Please Help! Still Looking For Information.

John, I just got home. I checked it, and I will try this. Just one thing. If the person that has it, never did anything with the title, then a title search would stop with my insurance company (since they were the last to process it) right? Anyway, I'll try it and let you know what happens...

Please Help! Still Looking For Information.

John, You pretty much summed it up. Those are the reasons I'm looking for it. You might shoot me an email with the information (to be sure I get it). The only lead I had, as I stated earlier, was near Pittsburgh, Pa. Hope this helps. Thanks again for your help, Paul. :)

Please Help! Still Looking For Information.

John, Go for it! I assume you saw the carfax information as well. Yes, my insurance company paid the bill. I think it was the Travelers insurance co. I don't know why they would want to get in touch with me though. I tried to buy it back then, but they blew me off. So I don't know what happened...

Please Help! Still Looking For Information.

John, If it is in PA it's never been registered there. According to the idiot who thinks he has it, he never did anything with the title. I don't understand how anyone can screw around with somebody's head like this. I really want to find this car, whatever it takes. Thanks for the tip though...

Please Help! Still Looking For Information.

Ok, This is the story. I'm still looking for any information out there concerning my first GN (loaded T-Top car). VIN# 1G4GJ1173HP457641. I Bought it new in 1987 in NY, and it was stolen in the spring of 1988 (also recovered in 1988). It had only 12,243 miles at the time of it's demise. Normally...

    Just bought 87 GN

Look at it this way. You sold your Z28 to get this GN. You'll probably sell this to get something else one day. A GN any other color then Black will attract a very small crowd. You would have to either repaint it, or sell it cheap enough for someone else to repaint it. Good luck though, whatever...

I have the same problem! Where did you find the paint? Is it spray can or touch-up bottle? Paul.
