Coil Pack

Use the SEARCH feature on this board. Most everyone here has had coil pack/ignition module failure of some sort. I've not seen a coil pack cause a no start by itself but faulty coils can kill modules for sure. Always replace them together if possible.

I'm trying to find out if a coil pack or module could cause a slight miss at a certain rpm. I'm still trying to chase down what causes my idle to have a very slight miss.....it also seems to occur at 1800 rpm. Another weird symptom I've noticed is that when my car is parked on an incline with the rear of the car on the high side, the car's idle slows down to where it sounds like it is going to stall, then it recovers with a fast then stable idle....it did this cycle several times yesterday. It doesn't make sense that it is starving from fuel because the tank is elevated due to the incline.

FWIW & IMHO:
I would not rule out fuel starvation on the basis of the car being parked downhill, thus the tank is in an elevated position, as it would depend on where the pick-up tube inlet is at the inside of the tank. I am not passing judgement on whether possible fuel starvation would be the most likely culprit. Try parking it uphill with the same amount of gas in the tank and see if the problem duplicates itself, and on level ground with the tank mostly full.
If you should need a coilpak, there is an interesting thread over on t6p under audio/electricial regarding pricing of new coilpaks from various vendors. HTH
