Stage 1, ta performace alum heads, blowing smoke and oil out of both breathers after fresh rebuild. less then 300 miles on engine.

Honestly I don't do these type of things this is not my character .I wasn't raised like this he said she said nonsense. But it took me some thinking to come forward here and to say hey something isn't right. I didn't make this up. Steve's attitude has rubbed me the wrong way. I would have moved on from this. But the lies, after lies then having people vouch for him. Right there is a guilty person.
 
Stage motor is just a different block, you can run all your stock parts in a off center stage 3.8 if you want. I have had a stroked 3.8 stock block make over 730 rwhp tuned by Cal and used the same parts in a stage2 3.8 because the block is stronger with 14 bolts for heads and 4 bolt mains. Steve should have had no problem with your motor and blaming it on being a stage motor WOW is that for real. He should read Ruggles book on stage motor and to the clearances.

Can anyone conclusively say what the issue with his engine is yet?

Why are we blaming the builder when we don’t know yet what the actual cause of the issue is?

well who else could it be? me ? Who blew up the motor the first time? me? He spun a rod bearing and blamed it on richard clarks bearings. then he blamed the oil leak out exhaust on turbo seal. i went for a new turbo. that wasnt the issue. So do i have faith that something let loose in the motor absoulety. I never blew up a motor in my life. I wanted to use these heads I had in closet. other then that I didn't have to bring my car.
 
my car paint was semi nice now that is even fucked up. It has burn marks in it from the buffing wheel because he is to busy on youtube posting nonsense instead of paying attention to details. If I am paying big money you better believe I want it right. wouldn't you?

I’m not biased. I see things for what they are. I would hate to blame someone for something without seeing what the actual cause is.

Let’s see what I’d actually causing the problem and then we can assign blame.

Just seems that you are surely going to bat for him... I saw the videos of that motor doing exactly what it is doing now at Steve V’s.... so did you. That is the “smoking” gun for those of us that watched the build and kept asking “what in the world is he doing” that build was a train wreck the whole way..

So what is the diagnosis? What is wrong with Phil’s engine?

GETDOWNGRANNY are you serious his crank, rods $5000 worth of parts had damage, rings up in upside down what don't you understand. Steve admitted to two screw ups maybe you should be the one bringing your wallet and car to him then ask what is the problem on the 3rd rebuild.
 
1. We have yet to find out what his actual issue is since the video is not detailed enough or has enough detailed information to support it.

2. We can’t blame anyone for anything because nothing has been determined.

3. Bottom line is that Steve is and has been willing to take the car back, look it over, and fix the issues.

Example:
Would you blame the builder if you decided to race your car low on fuel and you blew your motor?

No

You starving the motor caused the problem. Not something the builder did.

Again, just an example.

Therefore you need to find the issue first and then the cause of the issue before making any conclusions.

Well this is semi true. Steve fails to show you the rest of the texts. I just have to figure out how to get them from phone to email. When he wanted my business he broke his ass to make sure my car got down there. So yes it’s doing the same exact thing as it has done in the video. It’s blowing oil out the breathers and burning oil also. Not quite sure why I am being questioned like I am an idiot.

I plan to hire and attorney. There is proof that he damaged my parts heads, rods, crank all had to be cut and milled unnecessarly. So it’s just a matter of getting everything together. I also plan to find out who else did work there. So far someone said five people had to have there motor redone after Steve.

Both those issues were caught and rectified where they not?

If not, then there is an issue that Steve should address.

If they were rectified, what does it have to do with the current situation?

All we have for now is a small video of it smoking out the breathers at idle.

How can you fully diagnose the issue from that video?

No you didn’t. This is not made up. He is trying to blame everyone else, tr6 etc, he never knew how to build this motor it was on the job training like he said . From wrong bearings to spun rod bearings to having to cut the crank etc. Now he has someone that drove in my car say there was no problem? Who does that? I never mentioned Steve’s name. I don’t roll like that, he came on and chimed in with his emails text and what not when he sent me an email saying keep it private just hours before.
