I bought this car brand new on January 1, 1987. I'm the only owner so I know everything to know about this car. It's never been in an accident. It's spent over half its life garaged. I did spend 17 years in Hampton Roads, VA and the rest of the time in Texas.
First, the bad news. There is a leak between the transmission and the torque converter. Second, there is a small amount of bubbling up under the paint in a couple of corners near the bottom of the car. There is also a little on the drivers side pillar. Third, the windshield washer stopped working this year. I bought a new one from Highway Stars for replacement. Fourth, the car has 276,000 miles on it (please note change in mileage number). Yep, that's right! I used it as a daily driver. The engine was replaced by a reputable repair person in Chesapeake, VA., known for his work on our cars. He owned a number of his own and had a passion for this car. The first engine ran fast but I left a stop light too fast and the crank shaft broke and did serious damage. The second engine runs faster. It probably has 65,000 miles on it now (please note change in mileage number). Last, the interior upholstery and carpet should be replaced. I have decent matching seat covers on the seats, as you can see in the pics. The car has been sitting for a while so it may show some dirt.
Now the good news. I changed the oil every 3,000 miles religiously. I had the car painted when it was 10 years old and it still looks brand new! This car has never been raced (some fun on the streets though). I have a newer radio installed but I have the original as well for the buyer. The air conditioning blows cold. All of the power equipment still works. I always replaced parts as they failed so that's why everything still works. I have wheel caps on all around.
