Anyone care to share pictures how you did this? I have some ideas on the "how" but would love to see other real world examples.

I dont have a billet cam but do have screw in plugs in oil galleys to left and right of cam bore and the left plug is drilled for lube to chain/sprocket/cam/gear.

Thanks gents. I searched for that thread but it never showed.

Never heard of that mod for the V6. I've heard of it for the V8's with a bronze distributor gear.
I've been running a billet roller cam and TA's billet 9 way gear and chain for 15 years and haven't had any issues.

I used a sewing needle and closed the end of the copper line over it to reduce the flow. All that's needed is a small orifice of approx. .020".

Finally had a chance to take the front fover off.

Bison,
Do you think drilling two small holes in the pressure port about 0.020 Dia pointed to the chain and the other pointed to the gear will work?

It would but that's a lot of extra oil imo. One .020" orifice flows a lot

Yeah, thats an option.
The double roller cam gear is solid (no holes), and thinking it will assist in oil sling. I really did not want to screw with taking the gears off. lol

The cam is billet though and I need to deal with what appears to be std threaded rod used tobreplace 3 of the long factory bolts in the cover. lol

Thanks for the pic.

Nice pics. I have to do this for a motor I have sitting on the stand.

True. I have some 0.017 dia drills and will go with one hole. Will point it to the gear and have the drop off take care of the chain. Just too damn bad it's so hard to see/test it on the motor.

Looks it will be fine. Tested it and it sprays a lot. Pretty amazing because you can barely see the hole. Thanks to all who replied.

You can view through the fuel pump mount

i will be doing this after finding my cam sensor gear sharp as a knife.
I picked up a new cam gear and a new plastic sensor gear adding oil to that in hopes of never having to do this again.

All that really needs to be done is to run a bronze gear and your golden.I do this on all of my billet roller chevy stuff and never had an issue.

You need to verify proper engagement of the gears before doing anything else
