Long story short I found a GN 8 years ago and left my information with the owner, she called me two months ago and said she was ready to sell. I went and looked at the car for the first time but she could not find the key. So without the key I took pictures of the car(VIN, and body pics). So I saw that the car didn't have the GN interior like the signature seats, It did have gauges all over the Dash(oil, water,Boost). It also had GNX fender vents on it but no badges. The car dose not have the wheels on it but they do have them. With that being said I don't know if it's a T-Type, GN, or GNX. I looked up the VIN and it says that the car is a 84. It just dose not make sense to me. Did people put the fender vents off the GNX on GN's and TT's. The front end looks like a 85-86

The grill is 1987< the 86 grill had a chrome bar across the top. The gnx vents and dashes were added by quite a few guys along the way< you really need to determine what engine transmission and rear end are in the car. Good thing is ts up on stands so it will be easier to do. On the passenger side of the trans there should be a metal tag 1 inch by 2 inches. it will have a code on it like BRF or such and a background color. On the rear end you will need to get a measurement of the bolt pattern on the cover to see if its the 8 1/2 or the 7 1/2 inch unit. The value of this deal will depend on making sure it has all the right stuff, dont screw yourself, get pics of the engine, trans and rear end and we can help you figure it out real quick. Hope this deal works out for you and keep us posted, many on here will help you.

If it is an 84 the trans should have a bq on the tag. The spid label on the under side of the deck lid could give much info if the vin matches the car.
Looks like it had a fire under the hood. Buckets? Grey interior?

You mean it took this woman eight years to decide to sell that. I think I would run.

I would consider that one a parts car at best....you could buy a good car for less than it would cost to make that one even close to decent.

You're going to have to change your name from T Double to Too Much Trouble with that one. Even if you get it for a dollar your in for a long, long haul costing thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of work. Might be a good starting point for a drag car since it's a hard top, all stripped down and gutted depending on the rust. Still be a ton of work.

Okay thats guys for the good and bad. I know it may look like a pile but I have always wanted one and it is too cheap to pass up, I have not looked under the hood because the owner can't find the key. I truly don't know how bad it is. I didn't look up under the car I just kind of took a couple pictures.

This probably isn't a good car to restore unless there is less damage than what appears in the pics... You will SPEND lots of money if you want to fix it up.
Still, I'd look at it for parts if it's not restorable... Could be a source of extra parts or some extra income or, if it's not too hacked up, a secondary source for how and where things go if you purchase another tr and decide to tinker.

I think it had brown....I think. Thats what makes me think it is a TT, or maybe the car is salvaged and someone put it back together

Be careful.

I seems awfully convenient to not find a key for a car that had an engine fire.

I know what u mean but like I said the price is to good, I have not really looked the car over that well. I was told that the fuel pump went out and in my mind that dose not sound right. The condition of the car is not great but if some of the other stuff check out I will get it
