A buddy of mine found this car sitting a a neighbors driveway. It sat for atleast 3 years under a tree. It was on concrete but rust seems to took a toll on it.. To make a long story short I went to see it and made a offer the same day. Car was on four flats and hadn't been started in years... What can I say I'm a sucker for astroroof cars..

A couple of underhood shots... Yes that tree put a beating on this car.. More Pine needles than I get rid of..

After that came the rusted fuel line woes... Car did start but the fuel feed line was rusted pretty bad.. It leaked pretty bad right underneath the drivers door. So on to that task...

Good for you. Awesome to see another one coming back to life again! Too many people won't touch them if they have any rust at all and that's a shame. Too many of these get parted out for little "Progressive Performance Enhancement Package" aka rust...you know, the lighter it becomes the faster. ; ) Keep updating your thread, it will be great to read of it coming to life again.

Looks like you have your work cut out for you! :D
You might need this: http://www.kirbanperformance.com/Buick/Regal Grand National/3.8/product/452/STAINLESS STEEL UNDER-CARRIAGE FUEL LINES (3) KIT #7204.html

Are you going to do a frame off resto or just get her running?

I saw that kit a while ago.. Then I realized that the body needed to be lifted off the frame to install it.. I lack the skills, tools and time to perform that task and with the amount of rust on this this vehicle due to its time spent in Rhode Island I can only imagine the can of Whipass that the rusty body mounts would unleash on me.. So I went ahead and ran some fuel injector hose for the time being...

After a few failed attempts I ended up running the hose just about all the way up to the line that goes in the FPR.. I used a adapter to mount it to the Fuel filter and used the factory fitting shown in the above pic and flared it to the rubber Fuel injection hose..

So finally I got the fuel system taken care of.. Mostly of parts I had laying around from previous cars..
Fuel tank & sending unit
Fuel filter
Walbro pump

Had to run out and buy some fittings and fuel line but for the most part I was glad i had these parts laying around... I am a parts hoarder...

Oh wait did I mention the rusty brake lines... Every brake line I touched on this car cracked and leaked...
I spent some time learning how to bend tubing and I still suck but close enough... This was for the passenger side front.. Keep in mind that I made lines for the complete car.. Every section except the left rear wheel.. I never quite got the flaring thing down but I bought enough repair line to make it work

I just sold my lowish mile money pit... This is a budget driver build... Maybe some body work in the future but no frame off

Yes I agree a little rust on a running car doesn't bother me... This car taught me what to look at on rusty cars.. i.e. fuel lines brake lines.. etc...

Brake lines on... Now on to bleeding the brakes and guess what... Bleeder screws were rusted on.. Broke one and stripped another.. Facepalm....

Ok on to the parts store for calipers, pads, cylinders and shoes

So.... after 2 calipers and a Wheel cylinder and my daughters help with bleeding the brakes I finally got some brake pressure without any visible leaks.. So on to get some tires because the flat spots in these made the car ride like a it had square wheels on it...

Nice save on the T! My GN was originally a RI car but luckily the iron oxide monster was kept largely at bay.
