Justified shooting or not, you be the judge, warning graphic video scene.

Stupid owner. Everyone else was across the street filming. He provoked the police and at the same time signed his dogs death warrant. Lucky he didn't get shot too. Justified.
We just had a similar incident in my city. A dumbass fat woman owner of a pit bull couldn't control it and it bit a man in the upper back of the thigh. The owner couldn't get the dog to let go. 2 cycle cops showed up and took a few whacks at the dog and he clamped down harder. One of the cops shot the dog with the owner still pulling on the leash. Justified.

Good dog, but unfortunately it was the wrong place at the wrong time. Why people feel the need to record the Police is beyond me. I have seen police officers tucked up against a wall guns drawn and working on trying to get a barricaded person with a gun out, while people would stroll up with their phones recording it all. You can't fix stupid! When you see police with their carbine rifles out, there is a reason, people need to learn that if they are not part of the solution they can become part of the problem. That being said I feel for the dog, it's stupid owner and the officer who drew and fired his weapon.

Why was the guy at foult??
He has the right to record the oficers,,
Why was he put in hand cuffs?
Wasnt the dog down after the first shoot?
Why he kept on shooting?
I think the officer was wrong!
He complide with there demands, the dog acted as he should defend his owner, should of been tasered, no need for all those bullets.. He was down with the first shoot..

Yup. Justified. This video is all over facebook too. They are posting the cops home addres and phone number. Some have made comments like rape his wife while he watches and then shoot her in the head... I mean really over a dog?

Ummm, good ol' Facebook! Just had a triple homicide not far from here, the idiot posted on her Facebook page that she was going to the beach with her new bf. Old bf saw this posting and followed, killing them both (in front of their 3 kids) and then offing himself in front of a couple dozen weekenders...

I know my opinion is not the popular one, BUT. its not illegal to record a cop in public, i have done it in the past, video keeps us honest, i work with the government, and they use it everywhere. this man did nothing illegal , that would warrant the police to approach him and place him in handcuffs, total B.S.! get a good lawyer, case closed all right, the stop and arrest is what caused the outcome, the dog did what my dog would have done, what your dog would have done . try to protect his owner, who would not be in that situation had the cops not placed him in handcuffs, anybody know why he was put in handcuffs? could it be VWB? I honestly did not see the dog attack, i used to train dogs a attacking dog would have ran full gallop and sprung up to bite. i say that because the dog hesitated. Either way it would have never happen if the cops didn't approach and try to intimidate the guy with a bull-shit arrest. lots of people don't trust the police, they have the, i can do whatever i want mentality, the guy didn't provoke jack, a good law enforcement officer does not have to worry about being video taped. there is a difference between a cop and a law enforcement officer

This is what happens when we allow one of the biggest gangs to carry guns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was fine recording them just like the people who recorded the whole incident. But did you notice they weren't yelling or saying stupid crap to the cops who were on a position dealing with a critical incident. Once they have to deal with him while trying to perform thier duties he's in violation of 148pc.. (google it) you can even hear the guys say they would hate to be cops becuase of having to deal with that guy and they even yelled watch out when the dog jumped out of the window. Now is it me or was that guy playing up to the group of people by trying to be a cool guy and get all up in that scene. Oh and just becuase you're in handcuffs doesn't mean you're under arrest you can be detained and handcuffed as well.

Lets turn this the other way around and what if a police k9 went after a civilian? Does a person that is scared for their life and a k9 came after that person have a right to kill that dog? Probably not, and the way the justice system is, they look at their dogs as real police officers. Why is it that people away defend the police and think they are so perfect? And that everything they do is justifiable? I am not an animal lover at all and I think that man should have not got as close as he did, but the media does no different when they report the news at a scene and then twist the truth!

plus 1000%

Obviously there was a huge police presence at that house. Something big was going on. The guy with the dog was invading their secured parimeter. At one point he's only a few feet from a cruiser. He was endangering himself and interfering with their action. Everyone else that was videoing the incident was across the street and not going anywhere near the cruisers. They even say stuff about that guy shouldn't be where he was.

This guy was running around an active crime scene causing more problems. If he had been shot during all of this even by a stray bullet from the suspect, he would have sued LAPD for it. He should not have been there and he should be cited for animal cruelty. He is an idiot.

And which gang would that be? The one you call when the shit goes bad and you need help?

The only innocent victim here was the dog because it didn't know any better.

But honestly if you see that many police cars and what appears to be a black command vehicle or a swat truck, you stay away for everyone safety including your own. Unless you have official capacity or a legal reason to be there.

If the police handcuffed him it was for his own safety and to keep control of whatever situation was going on.

The dog attacked and was shot by the officer in self-defense, when you only have less then seconds to make a judgment call.

So now we have on example of lack of common sense on the owner's behalf.
