I am the executor of my brother’s estate, and his 1986 Grand National is the last item to be sold before I can close the estate. This is what I know about the car:

It’s been in the family since it was new. My uncle bought it in Aug. 1986 from the Buick dealership in Monroeville, PA. At the time he was 75. Other than wanting to buy a car that night, I don’t know why he would buy a GN--he was not the fast car type. Anyway, he died 2 years later, and my aunt kept the car but didn’t drive it. When she died 3 years later, she left it to my brother.

My brother was a meticulous mechanic. He did all of his own work. Once the car was titled to him, it was garage kept most of the time…except when he was visiting my father in Leeper, PA. Once while there, he parked the car under a few pine trees, and that left pine sap on the hood…it looks like water marks, and it cannot be seen in the photos, but the hood needs repainted.

When the car is sold, I will give its new owner the 2 volume set of GM shop manuals that covers the car. Also, there’s a bunch of newsletter-type publications by Applied Technologies & Research, Inc. that he had. I don’t know what my brother did to this vehicle, but I know it’s not all stock.

Mileage is 64,000, and it got its new PA state inspection 3 weeks ago.

The only thing I know the car needs is a radio antenna; it is not on the car.
Price: $10,000. It’s priced to sell.
Please call: 412-271-4592
Thanks.
Barb

And...
The interior cloth seats (black and gray) are almost new. The back seat has probably had passengers a total of 15 times. My brother kept sheets draped over the front seats for protection. Also, the car has never been wrecked.

Maam

Are you sure that was not your brothers wish list for the car ?.im not seeing any mods in the pictures it appears to be all stock .or is that an old picture .. Id hate to see you advertise something thats not there .maybe someone locally can chime in too help ?

O-Man,
That's what I was thinking. I removed that list from the description. I do know that he put forged Al pistons in the thing.
Thanks.

I forgot to ask if you had any interior and under-carriage pics?

Thanks

No I don't, but I'll see the car Thrusday (it's garaged about 15 miles East of where I live). I can take interior photos then.
I believe there's a plastic chromed piping piece (my description) on the passenger side of dashboard that is loose. I also know that there is a long thin part that's still in GM wrapping that's in the trunk.

Seem's like the headlight bezel's arent original..nor are the bumper filler's.. do you know if your brother ever replaced the trunk? The badges are missing and trunk key hole might have been painted over..or it could be the light reflection on the camera..anyway's nice gn i would love to see it wish i was closer i would be all over that!

I have one of the GN badges--I keep it with the title. I don't know what's going on with the headlight bezels.

Learn more about these cars before you post stupid bs about bezels and fillers. These are areas on car that fade and dry rot. Only saying that cause other people actually interested in buying a vehicle read stuff like that and believe it and get steered away not knowing either. There are cars with 50 miles that have been in storage that have this. Thanks

And very nice looking car:biggrin::biggrin:

im not going down to your level Mr. hunger..about your (stupid bs) comment you posted about me! thanks.... im intrested in buying obviously your not intrested in it!! so find another thread to look and talk $%^t about other people's posting's!!! anyway's..Britts im sorry i didnt mean to insult the car.. again i apologize if you or any member thought i did!!
