Fontana kills

Squid- yeah its the Evo 4g. My brother recorded the outside runs with his evo

Lou- F@#k you mayne!!! I put on my visor and held it with 2 rubber bands.

That's some finny stuff.:D

Hey Flaco.
How many lbs of boost you launching with?
You should be able to knock those 60's down pretty easy with good boost at the line.
Rule of thumb is every .10 you shave in the 60' is good for .15 in ET.

Chicken- I was not launching with any boost. I'll be honest the car scares me a little. Also I need better brakes, already talkin to pappa Lou about it. After that ill hit up the 1/8m tracks to practice launching with boost.

GASP!!!
Duuuuuuuude  No Boost at launch???

Oh man, son....you can easily knock a couple 10ths off.
You're running slicks...don't be scared...they'll hold.
Just heat them up a bit before you stage.

If you need better brakes, the take care of it. I went with an SSBC kit on the front of mine, but there are other options.

Get at least some S-10 wheel cylinders on the back (Lou will tell you the other options), and if you don't have airbags in your rear springs yet....install some air bags (easiest $100 traction aid there is).
Talk to Lou about boxing your stock control arms, or getting a good set of aftermarket control arms too.

At the line, try to stage first so you have time to work up on the boost before the tree starts ticking off.

Put both hands on the wheel (9 and 3) and keep them there. Leave that sill camera phone on your visor alone or you'll be kissing k-bar.;)

Put your left foot on the brake peddle and push that baby down as far as you can.

Put your helmet against the head rest (trust me on this), watch your boost gage and start adding throttle until you have 5-7lbs (more if your brakes will hold it).

Forget about cutting a good light (hard to forget about...but just work on the launch and worry about being a pro on the light later).

As soon as you have your boost up...let her go.
It's gonna be a blast feeling that GN launch.:biggrin:and you're gonna want to hot lap just so you can do it again, but settle down....

Chicken when using an HR parts sway bar air bags aren't ness. Flaco's brake shoes are cracked & the front pads not much better. Actually I should cut his brake lines & then challenge him to a race against my Porsche teach the nazi a lesson for sassing me.

Holy crap, really?! I saw the car leave a little soft but no boost, with that 60' and 1/4 time? That is even more impressive. Your 60 with no boost is better than my 60's leaving with 6-8 psi a long time ago! If you get it to leave with a few psi, it will make all the difference and you will be very close to, if not all over that 10 sec mark.

Ah...I forgot he had the HR bar.

If your Porsche were a Czarnota built Turbo Buick, you wouldn't need to resort to such desperate measures to level the playing field;)

Word!
He's got a lot to gain just by launching with some boost.

10 capable

just thought i would through that in;)

We're all 10's capable in the Southwestern section ;)

What did the Gtp run? Any idea on what mods?

Yeah if pappa Lou drove my Buick he would hit a high 10. I went easy off the line because I knew I would break the 11.4 mark. The GTP had some engine work I think he said heads and cam on 14 psi. He was mid to high 13s

flaco, what rear end and axles you have? stock DS?

What tubo?
stock rear end , axles, no drive shaft loop, roll bar, safety equipment, or slicks. Ran it through the mufflers while taking pictures at the same time. Now that takes real skill lol

Geez!
...just drive that car in your sig to the track....throw some slicks on....launch it with some boost;)...and hang on for about 10.75 seconds.
You're already there.

Engine still on the stand ...Even when it goes in, still don't have all the saftey equipment to go 11.5.... Even if it had the safty equipment still don't think I'm ready for 10's...Just wanted to be 10's capable!:p

I do have a drive shaft loop Lou. Everything else is open to interpretation:D
