OK guys, the time is coming to start figuring out who is going to have the meet this year. Any ideas? I know last year the talk was Wisconsin but i dont want to impose. Just wanted to see if anybody or anypersons would be interested so we can have a kick as$ meet once again!!!!!!! ------Jeremy:cool:

Lets get a few ideas, then lets all take a poll where to hold it this year???? Hope I can get in with my Saturn again this year:D

If you happened to decide on a more southern location I would probably attend. Can't justify more than a 4-5 hour drive though just for an afternoon get together.

Heres the first smart@ss response..

Maybe we should hold it near Flossmoor so when Surejs junk breaks down again I wont spend all day doing the recovery specialist thing. Jeremy ur getting a pass now that u got that junk trans out of ur car. ;)

Chicago area would be nice again! But who am I kidding, I'm sure I'll have to work again and wouldn't be able to make it anyway.

As usual, let me know when and where and I will get the word out to the non internet locals. If it's in the Chicago area, It will be bigger turn out for sure but I am not the host so I will go any where.

Here is a couple ideas. I'm not sure how feasible they are. The Brat Stop in Kenosha. It's off a major highway. They used to do all kinds of car shows there. I'm not sure if they allow them anymore. Another place is the Volo auto museum in Volo, IL. Volo Auto Museum - Welcome To the Volo Auto Museum Web Site ! It's very close to Rt 12. I know they have club meets there. I went to a Chicagoland T-bird show there last year. Plenty of room and they had an area to grill etc. Or they have there own concessions.

Volo would be kinda cool.

Volo is an excellent option. My collector car insurance company had comlimentary picnic there last Sept. Everyone brought their collector car. I was the only TTYPE. They have the facilities and can provide food. The best thing about this location is that Volo has one of the top ten car museums in the world and an astounding antique sale shops. This helps with other family members who could care less about our cars. It will cost more but the sponser will be able to enjoy the meet. Just an idea but I do not have time to arrainge it. Keep the ideas coming. Brad

Any idea on the cost. I have a email out to them asking how much, etc. I'm very close to Volo so I can do some of the leg work.

Just a FYI. Here is the reply I got from Volo.
Frank, there is no charge for car clubs to use our grounds. We have the grassy / shaded fields that you are more then welcome to use. The only charge would be for the people that actually enter the museum itself, which there is a discounted group rate for more than 20 people.

Do they allow BACON GRILLING?

Seriously though, Volo would be nice. Been there a couple times before.

Is the GN still there with plates DADS GN?
