87 GN for my sons first car ?

im 25 i got my gn when i was 23...it wasnt stock..it was actually really damn fast..and i knew what the car would do in certian conditions and on street tires compared to slicks...and i had a few close calls on wet roads/ dusty roads and even cold days..stock or not one day hell feel safe with the power and try something like a power slide around a corner or some **** and hell wrtie the car off or even worse.

coming from a 25 year old guy who street races his GN all the time..i say dont do it lol

Hell, I build a 69 Chevelle with a 454 in it as my coming of age project.


Dragged home a roller, found motor/trans, headers, exhaust, and all the little pieces and learned to put it all together and make it safe to drive.

Of course as others said... its the mindset of the person that makes the car safe.

Peer pressure can be tough... and if your son is not the type to cave to peer pressure then a TR may be a good car to him.
