    synthetic oil and rebuilt engines?

IMHO syn oils made by any company tend to drain down very easy. Fact: syn oils will get to the bearings faster. Fact: They will also drain off them faster. Fact: If you prime a motor with strait 50 then drain it and run it in with a 10/30 the 50wt will stay on the bearings,, not drain...

checking preload on hydro roller lifters

I have my moments. Glad to here it worked out, thought it would. I would go a little looser on the preload. 20-30k there is only 60k travel in the lifter so 50 is pushing it IMHO. I am not busy now give me a call. Jeromy

checking preload on hydro roller lifters

Yes but they stick down sometimes. Leave everything alone and use a priming tool and a drill and re-prime the motor. Ibet the lash comes back. If you have any other questions give me a call 602 319 0481 happy to help. Jeromy

checking preload on hydro roller lifters

When you rolled the motor over it pushed down the plunger. It will pump up when you pime it. Also it is easer to check for pushrod lenth with a solid roller lifter and adj pushrod . If you pushdown the plunger with the adj when checking it your not finding a true 0-lash lenth. Jeromy

    Name that turbo.

Looks like a TE-44. Thats a garrett .63 turbine housing and the compressor side looks like a T04 and that =TE-44 unless someone has machined trhe comp housing fore a 60-1 wheel and then it's a TE-60

Ok if you are going to get one of these cams make shure that your block IS NOT worn where the cam rides agienst the block,[where in enters the motor. Mine is now out of the car because mine is,,, and places the cam too far back in the block. When I fire it the lifters pickup adj lobes and...

    COMP CAMS Hyd Roller?

I just took mine out. If your block is worn where the cam rides as it enters the front of the motor the lifters will pickup adj lobes and tear thingsup quick. If your block is NOT worn you should be good. Keep in mind we are talking about 2-4 TENTHS only so if you even think the block is worn...
