    4.1L rebuildable, reman'd heads, camshafts

yes these motors supposedly have the same external dimensions as the 3.8, at least concerning the mounting locations. So yes it bolts into the same motor mount locations. I believe these are the standard 4.1L specs: 3.965” bore 3.4” stroke I think they have the same stroke as the 3.8s but...

COMP CAMS 260H camshaft buick v6

Hey guys just trying to get rid of some spare parts lying around... In particular two camshafts because they are in the house instead of the garage and therefore easier to picture and post to internet. I have one assumed stock camshaft from a '81 FWD Buick Riviera with the 252ci 4.1L N/A v6...

    MPH (Frequency) Activated switch

Dang I missed that, you're right. That might be just the info I was looking for. Now all I need to do is figure out what the range of possibilities the frequency can be for any setup of speedo gears and use a potentiometer and capacitor combo that will allow me to adjust accurately. Thanks man

    MPH (Frequency) Activated switch

Yes yes, I've been through all that. Thanks for taking the time, but this still isn't quite all the information. The sensor/sender that I will be using is the same one Autometer uses with thier electronic speedometers. You can see an image of the product and its specifications if you search...

    MPH (Frequency) Activated switch

Hey guys, I'm posting this here because I don't know who else to turn to and I am tired of endlessly searching the internet. I've prepared a Speed Switch circuit using an LM2917 IC which is basically a frequency to voltage converter. It will be used in my Buick 4.1L v6 powered chevette to...

    cheap motor needed for rebuild

Well, its a stock 4.1L that I sourced from an 81 FWD Buick Riviera. I plopped on a custom oil pan from a different motor and started it up. Turns out the #1 or #2 (I forget which) was hitting against the pan. This in turn ruined the bearing in that rod, so I pulled the motor and sat it in the...
