I have been trying to connect a tach to my hybrid for a couople of days I finally found the under hood tach connect behiind alt it is connected to a brown connector can I unhook it and hook the tach to it?

Are you saying the brown connector is plugged into the green?

Those don't go together so yes

Yes they are plug into each other.Will mess anything up if they are pluged in?

Factory tach will be inop, but otherwise no damage, just unplug it.
