update on my trans issues

I tired to upload pictures of the carnage but for what ever reason I am not able to, I'll keep trying.

This is what I found, after removing trans due to a soft 1-2 shift. This was a recent rebuild that worked flawlessly then it developed a soft 1-2 shift.

-Low reverse clutch, friction is flaking off. (don't recall what manuf.)

-Washer between forward and direct drum melted

-TV modulator upshift valve was stuck, needed to use picks to get it unstuck.

-O/D clutches burnt

-Band has heat marks on it, slightly bent anchor too.

What do you pros recommend Alto frictions throughout or do I use Borg Warner or Raybestos in certain areas.

Parts I already have are billet forward drum, hardened stator and sunshell, 7 vane pump, Superior super servo. Kolene steels, CK's re-calibration kit with manual t-brake.

Do I use the Kolene steels or not? I see mixed reviews on Kolene's. I'll be using the Alto Wide band with welded anchor and 300M band pin for sure. Anything else I should get while I am at it in terms of hardened parts specific frictions etc....

Mods in Sig.

Regards,

Jim

OK, just got off the phone with CK, he answered all the questions I had, put together a package for me and it's shipping out today. My head is spinning now with all the technical talk.
