TV limits WOT?

i have a Bowtie overdrives TV made EZ kit. used with 2004r/small block chevy/holley carb/braided type.

I havnt tried it for sure cause its not up and running yet but it looks like if I adjust it per instruction(till you see a 2-4LB increase frombein loose) that once you go to WOT the lever inside the tranny bottoms out on the valve body. I dont think its the BTO kit its just that lever bottoming out before the carb opens all the way? would i have to adjust the carb to get to WOT sooner?

Is this normal?


Also one small little questions, is it ok to run the engine and rev it with the TV cable mis-adjusted? or can that mess up the trans?

The linkage on the carb needs to have the correct geometry. I see you have a holley. You will have to purchase an extra linkage to correct the tv cable. http://www.holley.com/types/Throttle Linkage Bracketry.asp You can make the linkage as well if you like. Here is some really good info.

The bowtie kit came with all that stuff and more, bracket for carb, etc.
