Tack / Boost starts and stays half way on.

Is it common for the Tack and Boost to go almost half way and really not do much? Is there a track of wiring that i can check for corrosion that is obvious. Not sure where this stuff in finally connected to.

Also what is the vacuum line the comes in from the firewall and goes into the column? Or at least it looks like it goes into the column.

Caspers electronics can fix the tach/boost gauge.

I think the vacuum line goes to the brake light switch, its a redundant override for the brake pedal to disengage the cruise control (which uses vacuum to actuate the throttle)
