SLOW

I visit many sites each day , part of my job, this site is the slowest of all. I noticed that the forums are inclucing many previous post like 3000 or so. can I turn this down, if so how? I have looked all over and find no way . thanks for the help

under forum help you used to be able to decide how many posts got downloaded. cant find that option any more so each time it looks as though all previous posts download no mater if they were ten years ago. my term post may be misleading but there is this huge number under all the main subjects so lots is downloaded thats not needed. Thanks longball for your help
