What works 100% to prevent pillar cracks from coming back? Car is completely stripped right now and we have been mulling over what to use to prevent the pillars from cracking the same way the factory lead did.

Have a read a little bit about metal filler. Any experience?

Also planning to install back seat braces and new poly body mounts to minimize flexing.

thanks.

It's not the material used, it's flexing that causes this. The only sure fire cure is a roll cage. The braces will help alot but if you're doing hard drag launches (and hook) with no cage, they'll crack

I agree, I think metal filler will probably crack too. After all, the factory lead cracked. We have been considering welding in a 1/16" thick gusset, but that gets a little hairy with the possibility of causing heat warpage near the roofline.

I think we'll just have to try the metal filler and hope the new braces and poly body mounts are enough to do the trick.
