Just planning for the future...I want to pull my motor out of the car this winter for a complete rebuild. Engine currently has 85k miles on it and counting. Driven everyday and usually decently hard. The motor has NEVER been opened up before and nothing internally has been changed.

My goal is to rebuild it to make it fully streetable yet run low 11's, high 10's. I know I will need a 60's series turbo, stall converter, cam, and other things.

Now I have never done internal engine work before and I am sure as hell not gonna do this rebuild myself. I want a Buick TR specialist to rebuild it for me. Who is the best? I am willing to ship it anywhere. Also what should I have done to the engine in order for it to be completely streetable yet run insane fast times! Also how much is all this gonna cost?

Since you are in valpo. Take it to pte in hebron IN. They are buick specialists. But to my understanding i dont think they will build a motor w/ a cut crank. It has to have std/std journals. As i asked this ? when our club had a meeting there last fall. But call them and ask you never know. Patrick works there and Dan Strezo is an expert builder.

Where does PTE get their uncut cranks? They have been long gone unless you pick a used one up which can be difficult at times. Do it yourself, it makes you more proud and you will learn a ton.
