oil filter adaptor swap rwd to fwd.

I have a '82 4.1 rear wheel drive engine that has the oil filter that is clocked to the front of engine. I would like to convert to fwd style that is clocked to the side of engine. Are the oil pump/filter housings interchanable between fwd and rwd? Or does it take the whole fwd timing cover? also the fwd takes a different water pump. Is that going to screw up all the current belt pully's?

You just need the adapter, not the whole cover.
