I just bought an 84 with a blown motor. I'm going to rebuild it to race and run on the street. Any suggestions on building this? Is the original engine worth keeping or is it not worth pytting the $ in?
Thanks for any help.

it all depends on your budget

if you have the $$, id suggest converting to 86-87 intercooled motor....its a great place to start considering the fact that you need a motor anyway

I put the '87 drivetrain in my '84. It bolted right in. I spliced the '87 wiring harness into my '84 at the firewall..........no codes, and it fired right up. Too bad I spun a rod bearing the following week. It rocked when it ran though........... On the test drive I ran into a lightly modded '90 Stang GT and walked on him......easily. Nice intro to Turbo Buicks!

How did you do the fuel lines?

I'm considering this swap also, and have everything. But I'm not sure what to do about the fuel lines.
