Installing new upper intake

Finally getting around to installing my KB 70mm throttle body and upper intake (I know it's might be to large but it was a present from GF and I have to but it on ) My question is when I took off the upper the intake was damp with oil not much mind you but damp. Up pipe is dry so is the intercooler. Is this normal?

Not really. Are you the original owner? It may have had a turbo failure or other mechanical failure that pushed it in there. BTW- It doesn't matter what size upper you put on after the TB.
