Some of the software should not be sold with any computer!! Look at the license agreement for the ad aware ( .http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/files/license_agreement/Software_License_Agreement.pdf ) and the Norton 2005 is just a demo. As far as hardware, it's hard to say without knowing a price. For $450 -$550 it seems like it would be a fair deal, anything more than that and you should look into buying a Dell:

The 4700 seems like the great deal today, be sure to select the no isp option or the computer will come with all the aol and earthlink junk installed. Don't worry about the 80 vs the ebay computer with a 200, a 200 will be under $100 within six months ( Dell even sold some earlier in the year for $22.00 by mistake :) ) DVD burners can be had for $50-$90 not the cheap junky $29 units either. Now take that ink/money sucking rebadged Lexmark printer and put it up on eBay to help recover some of your costs. grisoft.com has IMO the best free home anti-virus, ad-aware is free from lavasoft.de, openoffice.org was born from the office 2000 code and is also free. Buy the games you would like or perhaps upgrade your video card and have some fun.

Alway remember last years "Extreme gaming desktop PC" are no better than last years mid line computers a year later. I have replaced so many overclocked systems with just regular high performance desktops it's not even funny. When I spend $300 plus on a video card, it had better not fail as most of the higher performance ones do. Sure the card is is good but the fans will not last more than a few months. I have been know to rip the factory fans off and place intel P4 fans on them, now that is a card that will last. Just looking out for you;) If you are really into gaming why not get a good computer and a Xbox or PS2? I have some great systems at home and work but you will find it can be a huge outlay of cash just to be a little faster than the next guy ( Wait a second that sounds like my Buick) Why not build a computer yourself? If you look out for deals, you could save alot of money. The Dell computer I linked can't be built by you or me for the price they want.
