Working on an AC clutch dressup cover. Need to lock up the clutch with the car not running in order to install a threaded adapter into the compressor and it spins when trying to tighten it. Is there any way of doing this???

A dress up for the compressor would be real nice especially with the RJC pulleys. The compresor is ugly with them all around it. Hope you find the an answer on that.

Installed! It threads into the ac clutch with a right hand threaded adapter with a set screw in the center of it so it doesn't back out. The adapter also has left handed threads on the other half of it so the cover spins on to the adapter left handed so it doesn't back off. Was hard getting it to screw into the ac clutch without it turning but got it pretty tight so it should be OK.

Was told that if I turn on the key without starting the motor and putting it on defrost the clutch would lock up but that wasn't the case. Want to test it to make sure it doesn't fly off or anything! :D

Around 1.5 lbs. A little on the heavy side but most of the time it just sits there anyway with the AC clutch disengaged. Wouldn't think you would do any serious running with the AC on so weight shouldn't be an issue.
