help?

well lets see i floored the car yesterday on the highway,i got off at my exit and when i stoped i saw smoke and it smelt like trans. fluid. Anyways i drove home and it was all over around the pan and the pan was a little loose so i tightened all the bolts test drove it and waalaa no leaks. then im driveing to work this morning and it was reallly late into 4th than once i got off the highway at slow speeds it would jump in and out of 3rd and 2nd very fast as soon as i let off the gas once on the gas it would run fine, and in OD it would slip a little going into third but shifted fine when i put into D. Anyway waalaa again when i get off the exit today its smoking again only this time i can see it looks like its comeing from the vent tube up top. the car does run a little hot but its on a highway is it over heating maybe, and what did i break????? Anyone .... thanks

Converter locking? Pump bushing still in pump body?
Thats where I would look....or start anyway.
