GM building cars in China!!

Where have you been? GM has been building cars in China since 98 or 2000. All of the models have been Buicks. The first model was the GL based on the current Century. It was powered by a 2.5 litre version of the 60 degree 3.1-3.4 litre V-6. The second model was the GL8 Executive Wagon which was a Pontiac Montana/Chevy Venture with a Buick style grille. It was also powered by the same 2.5/3.0 litre V-6. GM/Shanghai Motors biggest customer is the Chineese government and so far all of the cars they make stay in China. It probally wouldn't make a difference if they send China made Cadillacs to these shores as GM has been making Suburbans, and before that the final two production years of El Caminos, in Mexico and many say the quality is far better than those built here. I to am a loyal American who wouldn't think of owning anything not made in the USA so at least you can look at it in another perspective, they could be building one those sh*t boxes that was designed buy an Italian to use an engine from Japan that used to be made in Korea and is now made in Canada. We only send the best overseas.

According to the article the price of the CTS would be more than double what it sells for in the U.S. because of tariffs. Meanwhile thanks to our corrupt Congress that is bought and paid for with Chinese money, China gets to dump all their trash out on our shores practically duty free so they can put us out of business.
