Front License Plate

Greetings,

I've got a problem... My 87 GN has square hole in the front bumper to mount the license plate. But, there are no plastic inserts for the screws. I went to auto zone and got a set of white ones that press in. The problem is they don't fit. Thay are square and go in but not far enough to hold. Are there special inserts for the front bumper?

Or in there a trick?

there might be two different size nylon "plugs", but the ones I got from AutoZone fit right, they do snap into place, so you have to push them in kind of hard.

Same deal here. There are different size plugs. Just find the right one and pop it in.

yeah, you have to tap them in with a rubber mallet.

And when you put the bracket on, go back and forth between the screws or else the clips will pull out from one side when you're screwing everything together.

I guess I got the wrong plugs? The ones I had, you could push as hard as you can and they would not snap in. I'll got back and see if there is a bigger set.

Thanks!
