Engine help

I just got a 85 t-type and the last owner told me i need a senser for the car. When the car is running it sound like it going to cut off but it don't. But when i first start it up when the car is cold, the car engine goes up and down until the is warm. And where do i find the engine #

Read the "Before Black" section here on the board, and perhaps ask in there. Those guys are knowledgable hot air people so might be able to give you some pointers.
