cold start stall

ok when the gn is cold, it idles high for a min or so, then drops down, as soon as i put it in reverse it stalls.
starts back up fine, then as soon as its in any gear it stalls again.
but if i let it warm up then put it in gear its fine.
any ideas?
ill post some scan #'s asap.

You might check the coil pack. Mine wouldnt idle and would stall when cold, found out the pack was bad.

Can you keep the car running by feathering the gas?

Might unplug the MAF and see it it will idle and the put it gear.

Have you done any work on the car lately?

Ya the car will idle fine when its cold, but as soon as it goes into gear then it stalls.

i changed the coil pack out and it still does it.

i noticed last nite it has a real ba dtip and stumble problem now as well.

Yep the car will run on its own as long as i dont put it into gear till its warmed up
the coil pack is a new one GM
i ohmed it out to be sure its ok

tonite i installed a vacuum gage and it read between 10-14 hg at idle
i also reset the iac- joe lubrants method
and the tps .44-4.50
still no change
ideas?
