Another Burnout "?"

I understand the procedure with a stock type valvebody. But,how about with a manual valvebody.Do I shift 1st through 3rd or otherwise.TIA

Start in 2nd then shift into high for a few seconds then come out with the tires spinning to dry off the extra water. Shift back into low and go directly to the starting line and have fun...
