Just put my heads on, used onesteel shim gasket, preload on lifters is .060 to .070, whats my options? postons adjustable, custom make some, can you shim the rocker arms that much (ford shims) I want to get down to the ,030 to .035 range thanks

i know its not tipical but i went to one steel on my 87 motor and they are preloades like you say and in a rush i put it together that way and its fine ...notor still pulls to 5800 or so with no problem.

i have a 204-214 cam and spring pressure at 110# now

i am going to be fixing it soon and getting the intake milled to line my ports back up also

i plan to buy the right lenth pushrod v/s adjustables.

motor is more responsive with the extra boost in compression.

oops, forgot to mention this is another engine and i wont be using the ratio rockers

Measure your length and get the correct pushrods. No such thing as adjustable pushrods (in safe terms). Call these people and ask about adjustable pushrods www.cvproducts.com and they make some of the best pushrods money can buy.
