New driveshaft

I have an 87 with the original am/fm/tape/equalizer radio with concert sound. I happened to notice that the radio back-lighting appears to work fine although the equalizer is not back lit. I can not remember if this is normal or if the equalizer should back light also. Just wondering if I have a bulb out in radio.
