The BARO sensor is just like the MAP sensor except it is not connected to anything, therefore it reads barometric pressure.

On some cars, the MAP and BARO are the same part (two sensors, just identical). On Turbo V6's, the MAP reads engine vacuum and boost, while most MAP/BARO's read can't read boost.

The Turbo MAP is special, the BARO is not. The BARO is under the dash near the ECM.
