Has any one ever read the May 97 issue of GMHTP? It has a build up done by Eastern Performance showing a stock block capable of producing 700hp on a dyno. This was done with a girdled 109 block, stock crank /rods, ported steel heads/intake, flat tappet cam, 72# inj's, T-72 turbo and FM intercooler. It also showed a very complete specification chart. I was wondering if this was a possible build up? And has anyone done it and with what results. Thanks Dean

i think its possible to make that power tuned and at high boost but the big question is how many times will it do it.

guess i'll find out ...i havent seen the article but i am going to the cam they used and fully ported heads before too long.

with 1/2 ported heads and the 204-214 cam i believe if a turbo would stay together then i could cross the 600 mark.

It is possible but the parts will not hold up. Something will go sooner rather than later trying to get 700 HP with a stock block in a full weight car.
