317 heads

I'm having trouble finding heads for my 5.3 build any suggestions

243 is the same as 317. I have 2 set of 243 if you can't find any

For a forced induction engine? If so, check the chamber sizes.....The 243 is smaller.

AIRC, the 243 is about 64cc and the 317 is 72.... I'd do a bit of calculating on the compression ratio with the pistons you plan to use.

im running the partiot performance stage 3 heads...good price and no problems at my power level

317 are 72cc cambers, great for adding more boost. You lose a little power off boost as the only cons that I see. In higher HP 900whp and up, the 317's will not push water as easy as other factory heads as they have the thickest deck of any GM castings (GM LSX casting excluded of course). 800whp and lower, with head studs and a good MLS gasket, I don't think it will matter.
