1989 Indy Pace Car Trans Am for sale for $21,000.00. This car is number 178 of 1,555 cars built as Indy Pace Cars. Purchased from the original owner in July of 1994 with 6,520 miles, it presently has 82,230 miles. The car is in very good condition and the stock 3.8 liter turbo V6 engine was replaced with a professionally built 4.1 liter V6 with forged pistons and crankshaft, ported cylinder heads, ported intake manifold, ported headers, roller cam, roller rocker arms. The stock turbocharger was replaced with a Turbonetics Ball Bearing 65mm turbocharger with a ported exhaust housing. The 2004R transmission was built for heavy duty use and has a billet 3200rpm stall torque converter. The stock engine is sitting on an engine stand and is part of the package.
