Did you get anywhere with this problem? I'm now having the same issue. Battery goes completely dead after about 30 minutes so there has to be quite a load draining it from somewhere. Any advice? I guess i'll have to try and narrow it down circuit by circuit.

I have a similar problem with my 85 GN. When it heats up the tranny really doesn't want to upshift when you accelerate. Can anyone post a response to give us an idea of what to be looking for? I'm wondering if it's simply a bad TC solenoid? When cold the tranny shifts fine.

Hi All, Finally have to break down and replace my valve cover gaskets as the pass. side is leaking like a sieve. Can this be done w/out removing the up/down pipe from the turbo or should I take 'em off. Appreciate any opinions. Thanks.

That's basically what I'm looking for. I have an '85 with an absolutely mint body, only 56k original miles on it. My plan was to pull the motor and tranny and other odds and ends and ditch the rest.

Just found a wrecked '87 GN. Front end is shot but motor and tranny appear good as do the t-tops, doors, hood, trunk and wheels. Any ideas on what it's worth? 3 grand?

Thanks for all the replies. Two issues I think. One is that the heat shield is gone from above the cat. The other could be a blocked cat altogether. Question: will a test pipe bolt right up to the downpipe? I think I'd like to go that way.

I seem to be getting a lot of hotair from my hotair (pardon the pun). My center console (shifter, ashtray, etc) get almost too hot to touch. Where could this heat be coming from? Thanks, as always a great wealth of information here on this site (except for me of course).

Hi~ Think I've lost my wastegate solenoid. Car will only build about 5-6 lbs of boost. If I disconnect and hook the two lines together I have about 18 lbs (too much). I had to back off the wastegate rod a few turns so I don't blow up. What are the options for getting rid of the solenoid...

Update: Pump is now working (found a blown fuse). However it's making a noise for about 2-3 seconds that sounds like a sick mosquito!~ Do I need a new pump motor or should I look elsewhere (switch and accumulator)? Thanks!:)

Hi- backed my '85 GN out of the garage and found I had no brakes! Brake light is on and I have a hard pedal. Very small leak on the MC I think. Pump is not coming on at all. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help!
