My buddy has a 73 dodge D-100 that we swapped a 6.1 into. He is running a 1000 without controller. Been in there for 4 years and no issues. Not saying it is right but it works.

Spal makes a very nice fan controller for like a $100. I had one on my Mustang.. I would look into getting one of those.

Mud flaps. To hold them on use the big clips that would be used in a office to hold large amount of paper together. Easy to put on and take off.

I know this has been beat to death but I have a quick question. Just ordered ZDDP and just changed my oil with Royal Purple. SHould I dump out the RP and just use conventional with the additive? Or just add it to the RP? TIA

Just go to Advanced Auto or Summit. Energy Suspensions make spring isolators in different sizes I believe all the way to 1 inch. Just pull the factory if it is still there and replace.

Has there been any tests to prove how effective the intercooler fan is on a SLIC? Or if there is a better option?

What would be the best choice. Reman from Kirban or LT-1 w/translator?

Not downing the OP. And I am all for doing things on your own. But sometimes it is better to have reputable shop do things for you. You would not believe the problems you can create when you are dealing with this type of install and not a seasoned veteran.

On the back side of the solenoid there is a filter. Just went through this same problem. I cleaned it out becuase I couldn't find one on a Saturday.
