    Hi Jordan_J - yes, the 3M #80 holds up to the underhood temps. If you're running a larger or an unshielded turbo, headers that make a lot of heat, etc then I can't vouch for how the liner will hold up. It works best with stock applications. Take a look at the images I have for my Jaguar...

    I'm the guy who does the hoodliners - the decals won't stick to the original liners. It's been tried before and they don't stay on. Reminder - the hood MUST come off for correct installation using 3M #80 spray adhesive.

    Car engineers around the world put them there for a reason - many car brands around the world use that same pressed fiberglass material that eventually fails. Primarily for heat and sound insulation. That whole "smother a fire" explanation is a MYTH.
