    Alky on a stock motor...ok ?

Looking for some advice on installing an Alkycontrol kit on my stock 87 GN. The motor has always been well maintained with regular oil and plug changes, spring cleaning etc. but is basically stock internally. It has 100k KM or 60k Miles on it. Basically a well maintained "driver" Turbo is a...

    Newbie with ??? PLEASE HELP!!

In 1986 the GN was redesigned somewhat and they added an intercooler, reprogrammed elctronics and moved the turbo to the front of the engine (among other things). It produces more horsepower than the 84-85 and there are more aftermarket parts for the intercooled cars. They also produced alot...

    Outside Door Sill Weatherstripping

Postons Buick also has them. Use a phillips screwdriver that has a 90 degree bend in it and put a rag or tape on the window glass to keep from scratching it. Follow directions already posted, take your time and you should not have any problems. Takes maybe 1 - 1.5 hours per side start to...

Let's talk chips TT vs Extender Extreme

I currently have a 93 octane TT chip with my slightly modified stock setup and have no complaints at all but I am in the process of switching over to the same type of combo you want to change to and was told that the Extender chip is the way to go. shifter gear indicator light switch replacement

ARGH ! As usual, a simple job turns into a difficult one. Hooked up the boost lines to add my Auto Meter boost gauge to the car tonight. Attached the ground wire and just needed to attach the light wire to a power source to finish the job. After reading that you could tap into the...

Can Someone help me with this?

I just looked at mine and the driver side has the screw on top of the visor (side nearest headliner) and the pass side has the screw towards the seat, so I guess they are not mirror images of each other. Looks like they sent the correct set back (unless mine are wrong too). Cheers

Advice on removing the oil feed line to the turbo

Just wanted to update and thank everyone for their input. Ended up having to cut the line, remove oil pressure switch and remove the brass block entirely. Then had to heat the rounded nut up with a propane torch to remove it. Put everything all back together tonight but got too dark to test...

Advice on removing the oil feed line to the turbo

Hello all. Thank you for the replies so far. I did try vice grips but the brass block turns with the nut and line as 1 complete unit. I am worried if I keep twisting, I may damage that brass block or the oil pressure switch that is attached to the brass block as well. I am...

Advice on removing the oil feed line to the turbo

I am trying to remove the oil feed line from the block to the turbo. I believe it is the original 21 year old line and the nut is mostly rounded off. Nut and tube turn as a complete unit even though I have sprayed it liberally with penetrating oil. Any advice on how I may be able to...
