Anyone knows how to replace the bulbs on GM CD player???

Glad to help. Takes some patience but if you know how to solder & desolder basic circuits you should have no problem, takes about 30 minutes to do plus the cost of an old stereo, beats paying the dealer $100 unless your time is worth more than $200 per hour! Dave

Anyone knows how to replace the bulbs on GM CD player???

Is it one of the Theftlock or Monsoon stereos? And is the LED display not working (the clock & radio station numbers) or is it the internal bulbs that shine through the buttons and where you put the disk in? Two different parts there. I took apart a Theftlock cassette stereo once to replace the...

Looking for scale drawings/diagrams rear end cover

Thanks Joe, Some good stuff there! just wish the blueprint of the rear was easier to see, I'll try to blow it up & see what I can. Also the unmachined rear end cover is very helpful to me. Thanks, Dave

Looking for scale drawings/diagrams rear end cover

Another question... did the GNX come with black letter tires or raised white letter - I know that they had Eagle GT but have not seen any original photos showing the tires. Photos I have seen show blackwall but I'm not sure if they are original tires or not! Thanks, Dave

I have all the parts you guys need. Just got another TR in today!! Its hammer time.

OK I'm looking for a good set of GN upper door panels, with good chrome & no rips or fading, w/ holes for power locks & windows, what do you have? Would also consider the gray T type ones if they are decent and the color is the same as GN ones. Photos & pricing please to: davecww1@cox.net...

need AC line for serpentine conversion

Hi everyone, I'm planning on doing a serpentine conversion on my El Camino using a 1987 Z-28 serpentine setup. I have the AC compressor & rubber hoses from the Z-28. I need the hard line that runs from the expansion valve to the condenser. This is the aluminum line that is usually clamped to...

Looking for scale drawings/diagrams rear end cover

Thanks Doug, that would be a great help for my project. I am also looking to get photos of the labels in the engine compartment and a good photo of the battery top for the original Delco type battery, I may be able to make a decal sheet to cover the battery, AC label & yellow warning label on...

Looking for scale drawings/diagrams rear end cover

Hello, First let me say that I don't own a GN or GNX, but enjoy building scale models of them. I would like to scratchbuild a correct rear end cover for the 1/24 scale Monogram kit, but can't find any scale drawings or diagrams of this part, only a couple of photos of them on the actual car...

    Spindle removal tips

Yes, get the lines to match your veichle, not the calipers on the new spindles. The majority of guys reading this will want to get the Regal/Monte Carlo/Malibu lines, these have the same part # but I don't remember what it was. Look it up on Summitracing.com or jegs.com. The side that...

    Spindle removal tips

Like it good! Stops hard with a slight touch of the pedal! I also put on new Hawk pads, got those & the braided lines from Summitt, was not cheap but worth it in my oppinion. You can buy just the front stainless lines, but it's half the price of buying the whole set, and the back ones are...

    Spindle removal tips

Stainless steel lines I got mine here: Inline Tube - Preformed Stainless & OEM Brake Line Sets They are very nice, easy to install - hardest thing is removing the old clips bolted to the frame, it's a dirty job. When I installed mine I also went with the Russells braided lines, the El Camino...

    Spindle removal tips

Hi, did this last year with my El Camino. Better put the top ball joint back on, and just finger tighten the nut to hold the spindle. Then you should be able to take off the tie rod and lower ball joint nuts. then do what Robert said and lower the jack and bang on the steering knuckle and it...

    Slow Window Motors!!

Does the A1 motor/regulator assembly connect to the factory wiring? All of their stuff on the website seems to be to sell the wiring harness/switch assemblys for a lot more cash than the regulators/motors only. The factory switches and harness are over $150. Is this needed, or only if you add...
