Art Carr 16930 N/L Torque Converter

I measured this at 10", but the website shows this as a 9.5" "H/D SUPER TORQUE" WITH BILLET COVER. It is an approx. 3200 stall. It worked flawlessly when I had it replaced. It has maybe 15-20k miles on it. I am only replacing it as I went with a 3500-4000 stall. $400 + shipping. Thanks

    Turbo Upgrade?

I wanted to run this by you guys for a possible turbo upgrade. You can look at my sig to see what mods I have, but I am considering upgrading from the T64E to maybe a 67 or even a 70. I would like to be able to drive the car on the street (about 2000 miles a year) with no issues, and the...

    What Wheels are These?

I "borrowed" this pic from buickgn.com. I LOVE the way this looks. It appears to be Torque Thrust wheels, but I cannot locate ones with black centers (only grey). Any ideas? TIA

Boxed Rear Control Arms + stock rear sway bar

Off of an '87 GN. I went with tubular adj. upper/lower control arms and an aftermarket sway bar. Any need for boxed upper and lower stock control arms and stock rear sway bar? Looks like someone already replaced the bushings with poly units. I have not idea how much these would go for. Make...

RJC Power Plate on a 70mm

Someone explain to me how this plate can help airflow? It looks like it would block airflow instead of assist...? I have a 70mm t/b and Precision plenum on the way, and I want to see some opinions before I add a power plate on this combo. :) TIA

    Time to upgrade throttle body/FMIC?

Ok, I have done quite a bit of reading on this board over the past few months. There is a lot of good info here. That is what I am now in search of - good info. What I am looking at now is: -Is there a consensus on when to upgrade to a 70mm t/b and upper plenum? -I assume this would...

    New Alky Member

Well, after reading many posts about people going the alky route with good results, I decided to jump onto the bandwagon. I spoke to Julio yesterday about a kit, and I also have Brian getting an alky chip to me. Now, the waiting begins.

    VP Methanol

I see where VP sells methanol also. From their site: METHANOL M1™ M1 Racing Methanol has a 99.95% minimum purity - the highest purity available in the U.S. With M1, engines run cooler and are less subject to corrosion. VP uses only lined drums which prohibit rust, corrosion and metal...

    Rear Upper Control Arm Bushings

I ordered a set of UMI adj. rear upper control arms. These come with the poly rear end housing bushings. Do I need a pulley tool to remove the stock bushings and re-install the new bushings into the rear end housing? I would hate to get it all apart and not have everything I needed to change...

    More Rear Suspension Questions

Ok, after reading COPIOUS amounts of data with the nifty search feature, I just want to hone my options down. First of all, I have an '87 GN that has many performance upgrades. Now I want to work on the suspension. The car is not driven much. Most of the driving is on the street. However, I...

    Leaking Oil - Engine Girdle

Well I tried to do a search on this, but the search feature did not want to cooperate. What I have is an engine that leaks oil. I assume it is b/c of the engine girdle (previous owner already warned me). It seems to be leaking mostly in the front of the engine around the oil pan. It isn't...

    Another Newbie

I guess this would technically be my 2nd post since I started one in the suspension forum. I am new to the GN world. I have been a Ford guy most of my life. I was racing Ford Lightnings until a couple years ago ('94 then a '00). I recently purchased a very nice '87 GN from a local racing...

Suspension Help - Eibach vs Hotchkis

First off, I am a new GN member. I have always loved these cars and recently purchased a VERY nice addition to my garage. It already has quite a few performance upgrades, and now I would like to match the handling to the power. From what I have read, it seems either Eibach or Hotchkis are the...
