Advise wanted on how to protect my car from theft.

Just do what I do. Every time after I drive the car, I put it up on 4 jackstands and take the wheels inside the house and keep them by my bed next to my shotgun! No really, the best thing to do is to not worry about it. Even a perfect low mileage GN can be had for less than the price of...

    Street muffler recommendation?

I'll throw my .02 in on this. I think that you should go with the quietest muffler that you can, maybe even use 2 mufflers in series. You can always install a dump pipe if you need that extra couple of tenths at the track. I've had both quiet and loud cars. Here's my reasoning: 1. There...

What would you do: Brake failure.. Downshift or Reverse?

I lost my vacuum brakes at the 1/8 mile once! The vaccum hose was cut too short and was pulled off when the motor torqued over. When I hit the brakes...nothing! I was going 94 MPH and the end of the 1/8 mile. I just stood on the pedal and downshifted the trans. I still had the make the...

so rich that it smokes you out

This happened to me and it turned out to be the Fuel Injector Wiring Harness. Check every inch of the harness carefully. The harness was pinched so it shorted out, and the car made all kinds of smoke. Although it did help me find my exhaust leaks.

Car pulls to the right, what should I look for?

I have an 86 T-type WH1 with 120,000 miles that pulls a little to the right. It has recent shocks and springs. Besides an alignment, what worn parts should I look for that would make it pull. Thanks

Door keys...I need them...where to get them

I didn't even know that I had purchased a WH1! I was just looking for a T-type (I still have the GN) and came across this. It wasn't even for sale. I knocked on the owner's door and bought it a few days later. I have AAA, I think that I may give that a try. Thanks for the advice.

Door keys...I need them...where to get them

I just bought an 86 T-type, and the owner did not have any door keys for it. What is the best way to get a set of keys? It's bone stock with 120,000 miles and needs a little interior TLC (headliner, rear seat back, door panels, dash (where the speakers go), shifter, ect. Mark

Please help me identify this part

GN cross country drive- am I nuts?

Back in 2004, my wife, 2 dogs and I packed up the minivan for a trip from Virginia to Florida to visit family for Christmas. About 100 miles from home, the transmission in the minivan went out. Luckily, I have AAA plus and was able to get towed back home. At that time we had the GN, a BMW...
