    78 sport coupe for parts

I'm looking for a Power Enrichment Vacuum Regulator (PEVR). It picks up a boost/vacuum signal from the manifold to the carb. Where are you in the Northwest? I'm in Lacey, WA. Graeme

    Q-jet differences?

Thanks. I know some of this is basic, but I'm trying to lay a foundation for some system choices.

    Need good PEVR

I need a good PEVR check valve that screws into the manifold and provides a vacuum signal to the Q-jet.

    Q-jet differences?

Are there any significant differences among the 78, 79 and federal 80 turbo Q-jets?

    Source for PEVRs?

Buick parts says they discontinued the part in 1993. AutoZone and Schucks can't find it. Is there an aftermarket source for PEVRs?

What is PEVR and what does it do?

Thanks, Rich. So, for my cobbled together Ford six system it looks as though I should find a rebuilt 78-79 turbo Q-jet and a PEVR to screw into the intake manifold. I'll check the carb numbers against the catalog at the local parts house. It did show a turbo Q-jet. Thanks again for...

What is PEVR and what does it do?

My apologies, I should have done a search first. Still, anyone who wants to chime in is welcome. There must be a specific part number for the turbo Q-jet that's vented to the PEVR? I don't have a Q-jet to look at, it was missing.

What is PEVR and what does it do?

The Haynes book is little help, but it's all I have at the moment. What's the Power Enrichment Vacuum Regulator (PEVR) and what does it do? Is it related to preventing a lean condition when the throttles are closed under a boost condition? Thanks,

New guy with first of several questions.

I guess I'm going to have to chase down a 78 or 79 turbo Q-jet, or at least the part number to know if the factory carb was modified for turbo use.

New guy with first of several questions.

I plan to adapt a Buick carb/turbo setup to a Ford 200ci six that's equiped with an Australian cylinder head removeable intake manifold. It's going in my '80 Mustang. I have the plenum/turbo. My question has to do with the Q-jet. One site lists the M4ME as the Q-jet for the Buick application...
